The company was started in September of 2002 by husband and wife team, Peter and Lisa Malcic. Coupling design and marketing skills, the company started with humble beginnings and only 18 retail stores carrying their product. In just over 6 years Beba Bean has grown to over 1200 retail stores across Canada, the United States, Australia, Europe, and Japan. After the birth of the owners' second child, a boy, it was obvious there was a gap in the market for a product that could aid in the prevention of wee-wee on moms new outfit. The Pee-pee Teepee was born. With the success of the Pee-pee Teepee, Beba Bean started adding more products to their line in keeping with the company’s philosophy-adorable meets practical.
